  1. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
The site looks extremely busy from the onset of entering it. There is so much going on you barely pay attention to reading what the site is about and just look at all the pictures on it. I like that you give users a taste of what your sites is offering but I would like to see a bit more organization to your homepage. I think a homepage is a showcase of your site and not a place to display everything crammed onto one page. I find no clearly layout or structure. I feel you simply leave it up to the user to type in what he or she is looking for and then they take it from there. The pictures do not have clear boundaries and some of the text is so close the picture.
The name of the site looks a little cheesy. It seems like your posing a question and answering it at the same time. I would much rather see your site play up the word poper instead of drawing it to wallpaper. I feel it would be better just to tell users what your site is about and making your feel it would be “popping” to visir your site and find cool wall papers.
As far as safty is concerned your site shows no sense of either being safe or not. One can be leary of downloading anything and especially when these pictures have come from many different sources. I think if you are worried about safety then you need to show users the proper signage to let them know your site is secure.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I did a couple of searches and it was quit easy to just use the search bar for a already known search. I think that labeling would help users to find wallpaper that they might not be thinking of to spark attention to new searches. Some of the pictures on my search were not related at all so that definitly needs to be fixed. The titles may have had the same word in it but the picture itself was not related to my query. I understand that a system may cross reference a word but just keep an eye out for unrelated searches.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I would simply like to have a account so that I could keep track of those wallpapers that I liked by being able to save them. I think if you want to have a subscriptions then you need to have various levels of wallpaper to offers to users. For me wallpaper is not I continuously search for so a simple account would be more to what I’m leaning towards. It could even be where I could be only download so many a month under a free account.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I found a site called Free 4U Wallpapers. This it does not allow for mobile downloads which is plus in your favor. I like how they have a categories on the side of the page  and a search bar. They even have tabs and a section for users to sign into their own accounts. There homepage is organized but the pictures on the sight don’t draw me in the slightest bit. I think your site has such wonderful pictures with a variety that almost anyone could find something they liked on the homepage. I am not a fan of how they have their sign up info at the bottom of the page. If your going to use a sight login in make sure users can clearly see it. I see that a user can login using Facebook but not everyone has an account and it is barely noticeable off to the side. This sight has ads all over the page which is really annoying and your site does not keeping users locked in to the visuals on the site and not the ads. I performed the same searches on this site and not of them came back with anything. With your site all of my searches came up with something that was pleasing to my search needs.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think that you have a very nice site but I feel it lacks organization. I really don’t like the random placing of pictures with no boundaries or symetry. As I stated before search categories would be very nice. I was also a bit confused when it came to some of searches I performed. Ex. I did a search for Mustang car and car Mustang and nothing came up. I also did a search for Mustang a I got what I wanted but I was unsure if I would get Mustang horses. It seems that adding additional words to my search that were relevant yieled no results of my attended purpose. I also went so far to search mustang with a color and I got not much of anything that I saw when I simply searched for mustang. I think if your going to have a search bar then it needs to be able to breakdown my searches and not leave users wading through mountains of pictures. I would definily beef up pinpoint searching.
Once I clicked on a picture I was surprised to see that I could do any editng to it at all. I was a little annoyed by the add box that was on the screen. I clicked on the “X” several times and I was unable to get it off the screen. I feel really don’t need it especially when you have the same tool on the text box to on the page. I really liked that I could open and close that box. I clicked on the edit button and the facebook button at the bottom of the picture and nothing happened with either one. I’m under the impression that I need to be logged into Facebook first to do anything that is a little disappointing. A user may get the impression that your site may not be working properly and just leave. It is convient for users to get a pop up box asking them to sign in or sign up when they start editing pictures or trying to add them. Your site lacks direction and doesn’t lend it self to telling the user what you have. They almost have to explore and just find it. If your have editing showcase that as a feature they others don’t have. Play up what you have to offer, make it user friendly and organize your site.

  2. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?  When I first opened your website, it was immediately eye catching and very aesthetic.  I love that the pictures just pop right out.  It really made me want to proceed.   It looks very trustworthy.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?  I’m always on the lookout for various “pink” backgrounds and wallpapers, so I entered that into the Search.   Immediately I was taken to a page with simply adorable pink wallpapers.  It was very easy and very quick.  Everything I entered was easily and quickly found.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?  I would.  I like the fact that you have a free trial available.    The resolution of your images looks to be very functionable for my computer.  I would be more than happy to give it a try.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?  I tried out hdwallpapers.net.    The first thing I noticed was it was not immediately clear to me how to use their site.   Your site makes what it does immediately known to the users.  I enjoy coming to a site and finding everything I am looking for immediately on the homepage.   People are generally lazy these days, so it helps to have the basic contents and context of the site on the home page.   Your site is very impressive.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.  I looked around further into your website.   The buttons at the bottom for contact, privacy policy and about did not function.  I was unable to get them to load on my screen.
I further clicked around on the top tabs for what’s new, popular and download.  Everything there worked very well.  Quick loading, easy maneuverability, and enticing.
I really like your site.  The images are simply amazing.  I would definitely use your site over the others.

  3. Using Mac OS 10.7.3 with Safari

    1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
Landing page has multiple images of various themes for backgrounds on various platforms. There is no real order or direction to it (though one quickly gains the impression that what is displayed are the newest images posted to the site).

There are no theme or category menus (say I wanted to look at only ‘movie’ backgrounds or ‘anime’), only ‘What’s New?’ ‘Popular’ and ‘Most Download’; which makes me wonder what the difference is between ‘popular’ and ‘most downloaded’, as one would assume that what is popular would also be what is ‘most downloaded’.

First thing I really look for on a new site is an ‘about’ section. While you have a link of one at the bottom of your page, the ‘about’ link doesn’t link to anything– it runs me to the top of the page. This, and the ‘Privacy Policy’ and the ‘Contact’ links not working is a big hit on the trust aspect.

The general lack of information, either directly on the landing page or linked off the landing page, makes me wonder where your site is coming from.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
Did a few searches, and found for the most part that the results brought up what I was looking for.

Some searches brought up a lot of repeat results differing only in Resolution. Maybe for images that are available in more than one resolution, have one result, but with the different resolutions listed with the short description/title provided below the image.

I like that the user can select what resolution they search for, but generally speaking, the search options are poorly labeled and set up– it is not obvious that the ‘Resolution’ <exactly> and ‘all’ are part of the search engine on the site, and that they offer options on what resolutions are available.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I am not encouraged to sign up. Firstly, I am not a fan of ‘Facebook’ sign-up apps, and you do not provide any alternative sign up methods. Secondly, there is nothing that states what advantages there are to signing up. So far as I can tell, I can download the wallpapers at full size, search all your images, and otherwise access your wallpapers without signing up (and thus, not giving any of my contact information).

The failure of you to provide a terms of service or about or other informational section doesn’t set you apart from other sites that offer free screen backgrounds, and detracts a lot from signing up.  As well, you fail to inform where you obtain the images from (user provided? Picked up from other sources?), again, not something that encourages me to sign up.

Of course, many people don’t care about this… but the more discerning do.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
There are a fair number of free wallpaper providers. In regards to content, there is nothing that sets yours apart for them, save that you have one of the more attractive display layouts.

Most of the other sites I have visited address issues such as copyrights and trademarks. Yours does not. Some sites were gracious enough to be blocked by my filters based on some of their content not being suitable for younger viewers (others avoided nude images all together), again, yours does not.

While being able to find images for most platforms, you do not provide any limiting factors

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
First concern is over trademark, copyright and licensing. Some of the backgrounds you provide are for images from movies and television programs but no notice of copyright is given. While I am not familiar with how copyright laws work in Indonesia, I can say that in North American that it is required that you provide copyright and trademark information for images and reproductions based on copyrighted and trademarked materials, and in many cases permission to display them if distributed to public. If your services involved the customer paying to download these items, you would also be required to pay royalties

In that regards, you make no mention of where you option your images from or who created them–are they from another group, or are they user submitted?

You use Aviary for your image displays/editing. Sadly, you make no notation that you use their service. Boo to you!

Within the image, you have ‘Edit Wallpaper’ options that allow a user to edit an image. I am wondering if the changes made are applied only in relation to the user for that moment or if they are permanent? There is no information on how the edit option works or how it applies to the image, or if, most importantly, if the changes are permanent,

You do not have any search filters. In fact, under Most Popular, you have some nude images. There is no warning that such images may be found on the site, and no option to ‘block’ them.

You should provide theme menus, as well as a better ‘resolution’ search option.

Overall, while your site is attractive and you provide a large number of images, there are some questionable aspects of your site. As well, there are a few things, such as the search option and its resolution selection options, that need to be refined.

as for using your services, I am a hobbyist photographer who has his own selection of photos he uses as backgrounds (and who has a small, loyal following).

  4. 1. My initial thoughts on visiting the website  are that  there are very many images to choose from. It’s a little “busy ” looking , but it’s clear that there’s something for everyone.  I also like that there’s a link to the FB page and the ” What”s New “, “Popular “, etc. Links.  The site didn’t look sketchy to me.

    2. I did a search for Jack Skellington on the site and found many, high quality images. I would have be happy to have any of the images shown.

    3. I am encouraged to sign up. There were so many different themes to choose from ! Everything from cartoon characters, steampunk related…truly for the masses, especially younger users who really don’t want to read alot of info – they just want the images !

    4. I went to     walldb.net   and  at first I thought the layout was “cleaner”  and just better organized; however; the truth of the matter is that they simply do not have the selection that you have ! I did a search on their site (also for jack skellington) and not a single image of him showed up. I got three results for my search and they none of then were even remotely related to him or the movie !

    5. for additional feedback I would just like to say that I am not personally offended by adult content, but many parents would be horrified to see their minor children being exposed to nude images on your site, just something to think about

  5. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy? I like the concept very much, I like the simplicity and the easy of use. The site has some elements that do make it seem trustworthy, like the Privacy Policy, and the social media buttons. I would add a Terms of Service and perhaps a few testimonials of people using the site. also, the contact link could use better contact info. Additionally the logo could use a makeover adding to the overall trust of the site.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward? I typed in the search function the term “moon” and got back several relevant hits with images of the moon and the Apollo astronauts. Search feature works fine, no complaints or concerns there. I clicked on a very cool wallpaper called Amerika, and a stunningly cool image came up. I will likely use this website in the future.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Yes, as I mentioned above, I will likely use the site, I like the concept and the easy search function. I also like the the large size of the thumb images, as too many sites use the very small icons, making it very hard to see what the image is. I also like the data box to the left of the image that gives all the image details in one simple format.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why? I found wallpapersearch.net and thought it was ok, but found Wallpoper to be much more intuitive and easy to use. Wallpapersearch.nethas a narrow page with too much advertising, which is always a turn off and a distraction. Wallpapersearch.net is ok, I tired the search function but it did not return the same quality of results as Wallpoper.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. Overall, very cool concept, and as mentioned above, just a good design graphics or vector graphics image for a very cool and trendy logo will go a long way to propel this site. I would also consider moving the search box to the right and placing the logo in the traditional left field location. Very good site going forward.

  6. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
When I first saw the name I thought it sounds odd and the word poper does not have a nice ring in my mind. The site is very clear that does exactly what is says. It is very easy to navigate around and download speed is also fast the the slow connection that i use. It looks trustworthy and I did not see any flaws. I like the idea that there are more than 300 000 wallpapers to chose from. Also when you search for a theme you can look for colour and resolution. The collection of pictures is very interesting and it does appear that there are more for men than woman. Most of the pictures are girls and more stuff men likes. I think women or girls would also like the pics but it definitely has a manly aspect of being macho, bold, daring. I did not like the fact that there are a couple of girl pics that is topless. They are moderate and does not appear lustful but because I have two young daughters I would not feel comfortable if they would browse around this site for wallpapers. I am more conservative and stay clear of all sites with naked or half naked girls. Also there are quite a few pictures that has a dark side or is picrures that has an evil or develish sort that is not what I personnaly like. Would also not like my children the download these themes. I guess this is a differance in tast and if the creaters of this site like these type of pictures cause that is who they are I do not see it nessesary for them to change it but rather be honest enough to tell the world who they are and what they like. All the social media buttons are well placed and easy to find. I can see that this website must have taken a lot of time to put together and is well done.
I believe it will have a huge following with the the young.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
The search tab is easy to use and most of what I looked for was easy to find. I like the colour option and did use it a couple of times. I would suggest to add the keyword to the colour search but guess there is not enough matching wallpapers. Most of the wallpapers is arty and intrige and I have not come across any boring pics that is a big plus for this site.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
It has not realy occured to me that I should sign in or that they are selling anything to have a free trail and would suggest to have this option a little more visible. I only saw the facebook login at the top that did not look needed. I can easily save these pics to my computer and does not see the need to have this app on facebook. Not sure how this site will make money.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
Wallpoper has a better taste in pictures than wallpaper.com. I like the arty wall papers more than just pictures. However wallparer.com does look better than wallpoper cause of the dark background. I suggest you do the same as currently it feels very cold. Looks like the market for wallpaprs is very big and competitive so it would be best to stay with what your passion is and what stirs you. To call your site a company would be odd cause it seems like a great collection of wallpapers but lacks the feel that you must buy something.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Wallpoper is a site for the youth that likes to express themselfes and there views. I feel they will find it with you. To monotzise this site will be difficult. You will have to change the software and brand each wallparer. Also it is very diffuclt to sell something that you are not the creator of. Most of your stuff is graphic designs and I am not sure if you have aggreements with all these artists cause if I took my time to design a picture I would not be very impressed if someone else sells it without my permission. How you go about this is not my concern but suggest you have a good legal backup if there should arise issues with artists. Copyright on the internet is still very open but will become more strict in future as recently google and other sites hace protested these actions. If you spend 3 years getting your site to be profitable and there suddenly comes new internatinal law that makes it difficult to sell without permission you could find yourselfs in a difficult spot.
I am not clued up on all the laws and this is just my first impressions.
    Hope you are very successfull
Was great to give you this feedback:)

  7. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
When I first logged onto Wallpoper ( I personally think WallPOPPER would be a better name), I thought it had some pretty wallpapers. I think you need to work on the logo to get it to pop more. It was extremely plain and didn’t make the site look as trustworthy as it probably would if you spent more time of the logo. There wasn’t any order to the site I felt like it was just a lot of beautiful random images, I’m guessing this are the latest images or most popular images. At first I wasn’t sure what the <exactly> or the <at least> button is for.  I think the background could use a bit of color. Having a custom logo helps people to feel that the site is legitimate. I think you should some kind of antivirus thing to show the users that they are downloading viruses with their wallpaper.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were lookin  g for? Was the process straightforward? It was easy for me to find what I was looking for. I searched for The Little Mermaid and was able to get several Little Mermaid pictures. I also looked for purple backgrounds and found several cute ones but, I got some nude images which is highly inappropriate if I was a child looking for images.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? The site has several cute wallpapers that I would use for free however, I would not buy a membership because you can find most of the wallpapers for free elsewhere. Plus, it just doesn’t have the feel that it will be around for very long. There are several images that you can’t find on the site I put in George Strait and there weren’t any images found for him. Need a larger wallpaper base before you charge money for membership

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I went to https://www.wallpapers.com/. I must say I think that wallpapers look more professional and definitely would get my services versus Walpoper because They look like they have spent more time of their site, it has separate categories, their logo is cute and unique, it is free, and it tells you what your current resolution is set to.  the only plus on Walpoper that I saw was that you can use if for facebook covers very easily.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
There needs to be some kind of categories for these wallpapers. You need to have more places to log into then just facebook, a lot of people do not want to log in using their facebook account. Having Keywords or tags for each picture would help to get a narrow search.
You need to have some sort of filter because you search for a simple image and you come up with nude images.
Instead of most Download you need to put Most Downloaded.
    Youre

    about

Also, needs to say load more results instead of load more result

  8.
    1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
First impressions are of an attractive, visual homepage. To establish trustworthiness I clicked on the About link to find out more about the enterprise involved. This took me to the top of the homepage and the short explanation of what Wallpoper is but didn’t tell me anything about who is involved. I wouldn’t base a decision on trustworthiness purely on the look of the site.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I searched for Hello Kitty wallpapers by typing the search terms in the search box at the top. I then tried searching by colour but couldn’t work out how this operated. I saw a colour chart box appear to the right of the search box and clicked on a colour which inserted a code in the search box but then couldn’t work out what to do next. There were no directions on how to use the colour search option.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I couldn’t locate anything that mentions a user ccount apart from logging into my Facebook account. The site seems to be just a searchable wallpaper site with no additional actions possible. Then I clicked on an image to look at its detail and see a button for adding the wallpaper to my collection. This prompted a ‘please login’ message but I couldn’t see where I was supposed to login except for via my FB account.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I looked at https://www.wallpapers.com/ and really liked the way they have categorised their wallpapers which immediately allows me to narrow down the wallpapers I’m viewing. There is also information about the company. Wallpopers has a larger full screen version of the wallpaper when you want to look at a specific image. Also the number of times viewed and downloaded is interesting compared with Wallpapers.com’s star rating system. From a searching point of view I prefer Wallpapers.com because of the categorisation however I do like Wallpoper’s larger view of the wallpapers you click on for more detail.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Further information on the front page about how the site works would be useful such as ‘use your FB account to add our wallpapers to your collection’. I would also be interested in reading more about the creators of the images which would also be another way of searching for images.

  9. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
My initial impressions are that the site does look trustworthy.  I do like that you can search by resolution because I believe for a lot of the work I do at times with advertising, it’s important to have high quality resolution pictures.  Aesthetics is very important when running any type of business, but especially advertising.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I searched for a wallpaper of an iPad, and found a very high resolution photo of 2560 x 1600. It was a very good angle on the iPad as well.  It was pretty straightforward and easy to figure out how to select the exact resolution or resolution range I was looking for.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
The more I start needing high quality wallpapers, I could see myself starting an account with them.  It seems better quality, easier, and more convenient than just searching on Google for photos to use.  However, I am not sure I would pay for an account so I would like to try a free trial first to see if it’s something that would be worth me using on a regular basis.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I searched and found https://interfacelift.com.  The home page I personally liked better on interfacelift.com as it was just 1 very high res photo that caught my attention and made the home page look very clean and organized.  However, I did like the search feature better on Wallpoper as it seemed more organized and easier to navigate.  I prefer the homepage of interfacelift.com but definitely like the search feature better with Wallpoper.  I also liked the pallete feature as well on Wallpoper because that’s very important when you already have a color scheme and theme you have planned on.  I would go with Wallpoper, but to encourage them to have a homepage that looks more clean as in interfacelift.com.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
It’s a great need to have high quality pics, especially when it comes to advertising of any kind whether it’s for a business or for non-profits.  Using quality photos is one of the best ways to attract people to your product or service and so I think there is a need for companies like this.  Again my only con was the home page and maybe the organization of the pictures of the home page could be more aligned and straight rather than different sizes because it gives a scattered feel rather than an organized one, but that could also be my OCD..lol.  Good luck with your company!

  10. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?

Absolutely, This site seems truly trostworthy.. Though the name “Wallpoper” printed a kindoff negative image in my mind, But after viewing the site i found there are huge and nice collection of wallpapers available there.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?

Ammm.. Yes, i really wanted some HD and 3D wallpapers in the first look..But i didnn’t really found them at the first look.
Secondly.. I wanted  an instant DOWNLOAD button to download the wallpaper.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

    No, Not really!
Click on the button to subscribe or signup for a wallpaper website seems a bad idea, They should provide an text box just to take Email address, That would be a great idea :)
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I googled about “Free wallpaers” and opened a very similiar website http://www.Wallpapers.com
If i have to choose one between Wallpoper.com and Wallppaper.com .. i would like to choose Wallpapers.com.
Reason– They showed their wallpapers in the screen which prints a real image..Secondly this website   is well managed and wollpapers seems to be a little messy, I would like to suggest to manage these beautifull wallpapers wisely :)
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Ammm.. I found you really have a nice collection you just need to improve the website layout..All the best!! :)

  11. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?

My first impression is that the site is a bit cluttered. Also, some of the photos are of poor quality. One with the cyclist appeared lop-sided. And one appeared blurry. These are key concerns since the site is about wallpaper.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?

Yes.I looked up the term: globe and found some nice pics. The process was very straighforward.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?

If I were looking for the product provided I would try it out for the fact that there is a free trial. This way I could see if the product provided me with value. No risks.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?

I preferred the other site(wallpapers.fm). They had a pic of a smiley face which immediately made me smile. Also, they had pics that were smaller. There were not so many on the screen and varied in size. They also showed some wallpaper that was animated. For example they had a aqarium pic and a water fall pic. Go to say these are cool wallpaper options.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I noticed that the contact, privacy and about links were broken. The navigation on this site is really lacking. The social media links seem to work, however.  Perhaps including some type of pic/icon which would connote a whimsical air would make the viewer smile and thus make them have trust and want to stay a while.

  12. More dark wallpoppers, please balance that out.
Not enough images I was looking for. Like art related. brushes came up tooth brushes.
I did find a good one on color paint.
    Needs a pinterest link.
    Went to : http://www.popularscreensavers.com
and came up with lots of legal paper to read (which I don’t want to).
I like easy to read – find – control. No reverse type cause it’s hard to read back lit on a computer.

  13. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
Yes, the site looks trust worthy. The top is a bit too crowded. There should probably be a bit more white space at the top between the Facebook and G+ buttons. Also, your brand isn’t very noticeable since it’s in the center when most brands are on the left side where your search is. My initial impression would be that it is trustworthy and something I would use; however, it isn’t a top brand because the design isn’t terribly great and your brand doesn’t stand out (if it is even noticeable to begin with).
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I wasn’t able to find it. I was looking for a KC Royals background, instead, some generic “Rajistan Royals” showed up instead. The process was straightforward. I simply used the search, typed in my keyword, and bam, there was the results. Very useful.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Not exactly. Why should I? What I need is already displayed and if this website doesn’t have it, I would simply use another one to get what I want. To get this, you would have to have an extremely, extremely large gallery available to me.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I prefer the wallbase.cc website. The design is much more pleasing. Although your website does have the search easily available and is very straightforward, the design of the website simply doesn’t stack up against wallbase. Wallbase also has a very recognizable brand (since it is on the left side, is large, and looks unique compared to the reset of the page).
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I suggest to go back to the drawing board on your design. There are a few things which you can easily change to have a much more appealing website.

    1) Make your brand more noticeable. Put it on the left and use a unique font compared to the rest of the page. You don’t need a flashy one, but you need something the user can easily identify and use to come back to your site.

     2) Use better images on the homepage. Use images which are bright and scream out to the user. Bright images will keep the users on your website longer and keep coming back. People like bright things, it’s natural!

    3) Try having a larger gallery, especially for Americans! Today, the country with the most searches is still from the United States. Try getting more sports related, celebrities, and things like that which Americans enjoy on your site.

  14. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?

As soon as I arrive at this website, I can see a lot of wallpapers that are well done. I think it is very clear that this website was created to allow users to find good wallpapers for their computer. It does not seem like a scam site either, it looks like a legit site for wallpapers.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?

I decided to look for sailor moon and tuxedo mask wallpapers. I did find a few, but not many and the type of wallpapers that came up after searching was much too broad. I saw anything with moon in the title and fantasy. The process was simple enough, but the results were unfortunately poor.

       3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I am not encouraged to create a new account. I think the site is simple and easy to use, but it needs to be more precise when it comes to results for your searches. Also I noticed it is just the one page, there is only the option to load more results and when they come up, they are scattered everywhere instead of coming at the end somewhere. I did not like that. I would also suggest placing a contact link, and a how to link on the main page in order to make your site more user friendly.

      4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I prefer theanimegallery.com, because it was more organized and had exactly what I was searching for without putting in extra effort to find the wallpaper. I think you should definitely change the format of the way your website is setup and presented. It needs to have more options available to the user and just be more streamlined. View other sites like yours and you will see what the difference is and how to make your website more appealing.

      5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I think you are on the right path and you have a good idea for the website, but you just need to make some changes and your website will be fine.

  15. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?Yes it does when you open the website it looks good only problem is it looks more like a landing page and not a website. It looks as if this was someones school project on websites. The layout is good the site however does not look trustworthy.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?I was looking for dragon ball z picutues I found it with ease the search box was very easy to find and so was the item. The process was a breeze and straightforward. This feature is very easy 8 out of 10 for that. Its a site you would probably refer to again and again.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes and no the reason I say yes you could easily find your wall paper however the design is just to simple to be taken seriously If I had to give payment details I would not give it if it was free that would be a different story.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I searched for wall papers I found wallpapers.entertnmnt.com/ I would use the second one the layout intsills confidence and you would in all earnestness want to refre back again and again. The  wallpoper one you will porbably be thier once if you did not write down the email you would porpbably forget.

      5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. The wallpoper ne offers a lot of variety and well as wallpapers.entertnmnt.com/ but  I would go with the wallpapers.entertnmnt.com as it instills more confidence and looks more professional.

  16. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
I always look for quality wallpapers in my free time for my desktop to look cool, when I visited this site my initial impression was it simple and good looking without any ads but it looked more like a google image search pages rather than a website.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I was trying to find categories on the website; I wanted to look for HD wallpapers of games, the process of finding what I want was time consuming. Though I could manage to get the wallpaper
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
No I was not encouraged to sign-in because it just a wallpaper download site, I would rather not waste my time creating account, just would keep downloading wallpapers. Instead there are many sites which give away wallpapers for free without sign-up.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
There are plenty of websites which are similar to this one, but the name is creative wallproper looks nice, I would prefer google images because it straight away gives me whatever I want, just by typing keywords.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think you should have categorized the wallpapers neatly, which makes us easier to find. And I could not find the download button for downloading. I did save image as. But the wallpaper collection is great, I like it. Next time if anyone asks me any for wallpapers, I would recommend this site

  17. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
The concept of site is very much clear and user is very much sure about his intention of visit to the site. Few elements like social media buttons make the site trustworthy. Terms and Condition would add more affect. The site should have some meaningful logo to grab the attention and trust of users.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I have searched for  “CAR” and got some relevant hits with images of car and but also got some unexpected result like cartoon etc. I think search options should be more usable like resolution , color options u can add category drop down list so that user will find it more easy to find the same. There should be some image pop up when user scroll on the result image. It would make it more interactive. There should be some mechanism or interaction design work which will make the result more relevant and easy to view because scrolling 1000 images seems more boring. Response time was not too good like google.
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
Yes, I would like to open account as the concept was clear but i only need site should be more user friendly and result should in such a way that user would love to access it very easily. Like some categorized result what most of online shopping companies offering now a days like when u search for mobile phone it would list the range list on the menu so that user can select only mobile phones from that range.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I found wallpapers.com and found it more interactive and user friendly than wallpoper. Search result is more relevant in wallpoper.com as compare with wallpapers.com. Yes some features make wallpoper different than others like social media connectivity.
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
Overall site is good and concept is very clear. The only thing need is good interaction design on homepage which make it more interactive and user friendly with more search option like category and also site has to look more professional like other sites in the similar category.

  18. My initial impression is the website is a little lack luster. In this day and age when our attention span seems to be getting shorter and shorter I need something to really draw my eye. However I think the concept is great and I was definitely attracted to the idea.

I did 3 searches and the first two turned up dismal results. I searched really broad terms like ‘Hollywood’ and ‘actor’ and the results were much more limited than I was expecting, and many contained items that I don’t think are related to my search. My third search for ‘music’ turned up some interesting results. I was impressed with the functionality of the website. The directions I found were clear and concise. The different options to share through my social networking sites was very pleasing.

I would definitely use the site again in fact I bookmarked it for future use. Signing up was incredibly easy with the click of the button I was connected through my Facebook page and ready to go. I did not see any other options for sign up and since, shocking as it maybe, not everyone is a Facebook user this could pose a real problem.

There are many sites that do almost the exact same thing and their websites are presented better. I found a site called coverwallpaper.com that had handy little categories that made it simple to find great pictures, and my favorite option of creating my own cover photo/wallpaper. The edge that Wall Popper has, is its user friendly search bar and connections to all of the many social networking sites which did I mention I love!

In all I think the concept is great and could be a real asset but I think there are many kinks that need to be worked out, including he categorizing of the searches and the overall look of the website, which is quite boring. The info tabs are hard to find and lastly the thought bubble that pops up every time I do a search reminding me to like and/or follow Wall Poppers Facebook, Twitter, etc is quite annoying and repetitive.

  19. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy?
It’s clean and bright. There’s not extraneous graphics in the way of seeing what’s available. I think the site does look trustworthy, because it’s not littered with adds and a confusing layout.

    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward?
I did a simple search for space. The result was exactly as I was anticipating: photos of planets, spaceships, etc. The search feature is very easy to use, though the with no contrast on the page it wasn’t immediately evident to me where it was located on the page. I actually had to look for it. Most sites search boxes pops out.

    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)?
I can say the site definitely encourages met to follow on Pinterest and link through Facebook. In fact, the pop for Pinterest after each pages loads it a bit annoying. I don’t really see the need to link through Facebook and mostly likely wouldn’t follow on Pinterest. I would come by the site when I got tired of my current wallpaper and Pin something if I really liked it and wanted to remember it for future use.

    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?
I searched free wallpaper and got https://www.free4uwallpapers.org/ as the first result. I really prefer wallpoper. Free4uWallpapers is outdated though I do like the categories list on the side. Sometimes I don’t really know what I’m looking for but would like to browse a subject until I find something. WallPoper is missing that feature.

    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I would like to see that “what’s new?”, “popular”, and “random” links stand out a little better. Also I think adding the Pinterest link at the top of the page next to the Facebook link would be better than having to click through a pop-up every time a new page loads.

  20. 1) Look around the home page – what is your initial impression of what you see? Does the site look trustworthy? Simple and clean cut, to the point. Looks trustworthy, unlike the ad ridden wallpaper sites.
    2) Think of something you want to find on this website. Now try to find it. Did you find what you were looking for? Was the process straightforward? Yes! Easy peasy! :D
    3) Are you encouraged to (create a new account, subscribe, sign up for a free trial, etc.)? Can you tell us why (or why not)? Yes! I would get an account just to save favorite pics to switch up my desktop from time to time.
    4) Go to search engine of your choice and find one other company that offers a similar service. Compare the two companies. Which on do you prefer? Why?  I love the simple “Pintersty” feel of this site!  When I typed in “free wallpaper” into a Google search I was hesitant to click on the first link because of viruses and went with the #2 choice.  There is something about most wallpaper sites that sort of scare me, with all the ads, and blinking words and auto play video, and the content spread over multiple pages that you have to scroll through(thank god for a mouse with scroll!)
    5) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I LOVE the “use for Facebook cover” button, but I would suggest that maybe a button be installed in the tool bar to share on Facebook or Pinterest, Twitter, etc, instead of having a pop up asking if I want to share the link before I know if the results are what I was searching for.  I also did a search for words that could have more than 1 subject or meaning, i.e. The TV show Firefly and the insect, firefly.  I typed “firefly” into the search bar, just to see what results I’d get and I got most all shots from Firefly, the TV show.  I then typed in “fireflies” and got results for the insect.  Maybe have a dropdown menu have drop down to display multiple results and be able to choose from them to help refine the search or to encourage browsing.
