5-10 seconds eh? Well it obviously has something to do with TV but beyond that there was too much clutter for me to quickly see what the site is about. My guess is that it’s like a dropbox for video.
Free accounts: I don’t know if “encouraged” is the right word. It makes that suggestion, but since it’s one little box out of many it’s not very enticing.
Basically it seems like you self-advertise way too much. If you have to tell people how great you are, you aren’t. And I didn’t want to read of it.
And who is your target audience? Are you talking to me as the owner of a website or as the enjoyer of videos? Video from anywhere to everywhere, well uh, I can do that mostly with youtube. Any specific, good reason to wrap an extra layer around just to embed a video?
OK, so now that I’ve made my free account …
Making a player seems easy enough but I can’t get it to work. Embedding it left and right, nada.
It’s probably my fault, but I guess that means I should just stick with tried and true methods instead of messing around with this newfangled startup hmm? Shame because those video player styles are rather nice.
Also, for some reason the home page doesn’t see me as logged in. When I press ‘Log In’, I see that I am still logged in but from the home page I can’t see this.
Very hard to determine what is going on here in 5-10 seconds. There is a lot of information here. In the 5 to 10 seconds I spent I felt this was some sort of video sharing site that is gone to cost me money that I do not have.
Â
After reviewing the site I am encouraged to sign up for a free account but I do feel that the free account information should be more prominent. It is initially hard to find this information.
Â
The process of creating was pretty straight forward but getting it to work was a little difficult. I was a bit confused when it asked me for my website during the signup process.
Â
Overall I think the concept is pretty good but the website should somehow be more simplistic and easier to understand what the whole point of it is.

The site looks like a video sharing/ collecting and viewing.
Are you encouraged to sign up for a free account? If not, why?
Curiosity has me signing up (for free, of course! Curiosity doesn’t work when one has to pay!)

In registering for a free account, I noted that you have ‘website’ as one of the entries. I signed up without filling in that space and registered no problem. You should note that having a website is not required. Beyond that, 9/10 on registration.

I had no problems creating a ‘player’. Searching and selecting different videos from different webvid sites was easy. However, one would expect to find a button to the next step (ie: from Add Media to Organize Media) at the bottom of the video selection window and not just at the top. People tend to scroll down as they look for the link to the next page when Steps are involved.

General Site Comments: The site homepage is a bit overwhelming. There is a lot there, “how it works” is a bit down and off the browser window when it opens up.
The site needs to do a bit more to let people know it is for embedding videos, not for viewing videos.
The verity of player arrangements is nice.Â
The “Free forever” spin needs to be clearified, because it is obviously not free when it comes to uploading and encoding users videos.
In attempting to upload a video, I was confronted with the need to sign up as a business. This is a big deterrent to bloggers/website creates who don’t really have a business or company, and who do not want to provide a physical address.
Concept Comments:
The general concept is interesting. At first the site felt like it was simply a collection point for videos from different sites. However, in creating a play list, I realized it is a site that creates an embedded video player that you host, but the user can place on their website.
The only advantage I see in your services would be found in videos that the user uploads his or her self and coding it for them for multi-plateform use. This is something that the general video uploaded is not really concerned with (mostly because they upload to YouTube). I am guessing that you are targeting a more business/professional audience that want the multi-plateform video to allow their video advertisements to be able to span most viewing platforms in regards to the paid video upload and coding service.Â

Registration was pretty easy and simple. I don’t like that the page loads so slow, but other than that it is simple and straighforward.
