  1. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
My immediate reaction was “Ugh, a survey.” Then, I read the top blurb and understood the concept right off the bat. I don’t understand whether the questions are sample questions or real ones, but they seem to be answerable. Ack, I clicked on one, and it won’t let me change the answer. That needs to be fixed, especially when people are clicking out of curiosity on the first page.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
As above, I thought there was an irritating survey right off the bat, but then saw the blurb. So, it only took me a brief moment to get the concept, and that’s a good thing. I have no idea how your members are selected or if anyone can apply and start checking off boxes. I’m curious as to whether their is compensation for participation and how that would affect the quality of input.

    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
The profile was mostly painless; I’m glad it didn’t drag. That’s the number one reason I leave a site. The ? submission was straightforward and simple enough.

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
I see three completed question here, and no indication of any sort of input, answers or results. I can’t answer this question, as there is no display. However, with paid answers, I would expect a better representation of the feedback, such as info on demographics, sex, etc.

    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
You could have a bi-weekly newsletter with blog posts/articles related to marketing and limited time offers for better deals on new questions, and free answers when a referred member pays for their first question. The site is pretty bare bones as it is, and could use more content or ways to interact with other marketers.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
I would avoid the cheesy, scammy types. You have a chance to build a reputation as a quality marketing tool, and visitors to the site will make immediate judgments based on the legitimacy of your advertisers. That alone could influence a large amount of business with your company. Perhaps using some links to well-known and established marketing companies/products as a way to put yourself out there as a professional service.

    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
This is a hard question to answer without seeing the results page or how much information is revealed on demographics, age, sex, etc. Plus, a lot of it hinges on the ability of the consumer to articulate the proper query. Perhaps a section with advice on how to make the most of a question would be appropriate. It’s hard to gauge value without this information, though I can say at the least, the prices don’t seem astronomical.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I would be nervous about a new company assuring a certain time frame for a certain amount of answers. what if you don’t get as many as you need in that time period? Do you refund, cut the price? I worry that answers may be added to make the cut. This is just a natural concern that occurs to me. Otherwise, my input is generally present within the above questions.

    Good luck!

  2. Feedback Provided:
    (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

This is a very ugly page — uninviting — and looks like it was designed by an inexperienced web designer.  Not only the colors are unattractive, but it is unclear what I’m answering questions for.  Hopefully there will be an introduction prior to reaching this page that makes sense of what the survey is about.  Addressing the second part of the question, I would not click on anything on this page because 1. it just doesn’t look sophisticated enough for me to participate, and 2. I’m not getting anything from my efforts in answering the question.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?

No, not at all.  Some serious work needs to be done to clarify what TechCrunch is and what the survey is about.  I do not click on any links unless I’m comfortable where it’s taking me.  Been burned too many times with pop ups etc.

    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?

Easy to register. Took me a while to figure out how to couch my question given the limited answer options, so I don’t think it was as easy as it could have been.

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?

I like the chart a lot.  It was easy to read and understand.

    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?

While I like the chart displaying results of the survey, I can’t help but look at the answer options and think “wouldn’t open ended questions be more valuable” to the askant.  The ‘why’ question is never getting answered with this type of survey, and I want to know why someone agrees or disagrees, likes or doesn’t like, something.

Perhaps offering targeted surveys to specific demographics from within your membership.  Retirement surveys to those nearing or at retirement, young family surveys for those under 35, for instance.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?

    WebDesign & Accounting.

Perhaps a page for unendorsed third party resources with links to the company.  Your Insighters own Yellow Pages.

    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?

Unless you let me know ahead of time what demographics make up your 5000 members, I’m just not sure if the pricing is good.  What is the majority age, income, gender?  5000 folks, when 2500 are under 30, and I’m trying to market a product for over 50 age folks, is just not going to give me what I need.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

The site content needs a lot of work describing what the company does, how it does it, and who makes up its membership.  I’m not a testimonial fan, but a short-n-sweet one liner from a satisfied customer up top next to your logo isn’t a bad idea.  The site is impersonal and uninviting visually.  Just don’t see a compelling reason to select this company to put out my survey question(s).

  3. Browser:  Google Chrome     OS:  Windows Vista

    (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

When I first opened the website I wasn’t sure exactly what it was about however after reading the text under “Your Insighters” in the logo and the line directly underneath that it made more sense.  I can’t say that I was immediately drawn to click on the buttons because I was more interested in trying to figure out what the site is about.
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?

As mentioned above it was not immediately clear exactly what the site is about.  As a visitor the home page doesn’t really let me know what benefits there are to me as a user.  I felt that the questions being displayed added to the uncertainty because they didn’t seem to really have any bearing on what the website can do for me.  I also wasn’t sure who the website was targeting ie. can anyone use it or is it a marketing tool etc etc….

I visited your “About Us” page and I think that this clarified things and I think it might be worthwhile including this on the homepage.  Especially the part saying “Whether you want to quickly market test a start-up idea, a new website design change or a business decision, asking the crowd and seeking their input can provide you with great insight.”

Honestly, I think that the homepage might work better if the questions were removed and rather replaced with information telling the visitor why they should use the site. Perhaps a couple of example questions that are more generic could be added instead showing responses that users could expect.

It might also be worthwhile letting visitors know the types of people your members are made up of.

I think I would be more inclined to click on the buttons if page was laid out with info about your business on the left of the screen with the buttons on the right hand side saying something like “Sign up for a free account now and we will let you know if your idea is worth pursuing”.  I think the “View my questions” button will only make sense once you have visited the site more than once.

    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?

As a new visitor to the site I didn’t immediately know where to register as a user or why I should stay on your site rather than move onto another site.  I clicked on “Submit a question” and was taken to the Question Info screen.  Honestly I was a bit confused about the question packages, more specifically the use of the word “votes”.  Only after moving down the screen and reading the rest of the page did it make more sense.  Perhaps a short explanation of how the process works would be helpful.  Again, it would be good to know who your members are so that I know who will be answering the question.  For example, if I am wanting to find out if my new website about knitting is a good idea, it would be good to know that my question isn’t being answered by 18 year old college students.

I think it might also be nice to include a section about payment options and the safety of paying online.  As a first time visitor I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable spending $130 right away.  Perhaps a money back guarantee?

When I got to number 4, “Confirm question and upload files”, I wasn’t sure what the upload files section was about.  What am I able to upload?  Will this information be sent to your members?  How much can I upload?  What types of files can I upload ie. pictures, documents?  Will the information I upload be confidential if necessary?  Also, it seemed as if I needed to answer my own question – I asked a yes / no question and it was repeated in this section just above the “Submit Question” button.

I clicked the “Accept terms and conditions” box and briefly looked at your terms and conditions.  Like most of these pages I just skimmed over it.

I clicked the “Submit Question” button and a message appeared saying “Please sign in to submit a question” which was a bit irritating especially since I had already completed the form and didn’t know exactly how to register as a user in the first place.  I then noticed the “Sign Up” text at the top right of the screen.  This text is really not displayed well and really needs to be more prominent.  I don’t even remember seeing it on the home page.  I completed the short registration form and was taken to the editing profile page.  When I started completing this form I wasn’t really sure whether I was signing up as someone who asks a question (client) or a member.

I updated my profile which was quick and easy and very straight forward.

I then went back and submitted my question which was also quick and easy and straight forward.  My immediate question as a new user is “where or how will I see responses to my question?”.

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?

As mentioned above I wasn’t immediately sure where to view responses to questions.  I then saw that you need to click on the question itself to view results.  Perhaps something like “Click on question to see answers” explanation could be included on the page.

I went through a couple of the results and wasn’t sure exactly what it was telling me, it seems a bit incomplete.   The column on the left with the categories such as gender, age etc. makes things a bit confusing.  Are these necessary if you can’t see which category of member is voting?  So, for example, I can’t see if men or woman have cast a vote.

    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?

Personally, I’m not crazy about the look and feel.  The blue and pink of the body seems to clash with the orange and green in the header.   I think that this site has massive potential and I think with a little more explanation as mentioned above it would be really useful.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?

I think that any type of advertising could be done on the questions and answers pages because the questions being asked are not specific to anything in particular. Personally I would steer away from advertising on the home and information pages as I think this will distract the user, especially a first time visitor. I also think that a website seems more professional when there isn’t any advertising for outside companies on it. The other thing to consider is that adverts can sometimes make your visitors click away from your site.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?

Honestly, I wouldn’t spend any money on this site because I don’t know who is answering my questions.  For all I know an automated piece of software could be “answering” questions.  I don’t know what payment options there are ie. PayPal, credit card etc.  Also, what security is there for online payments?

I think that if more explanation was given on who answers the questions and how more detailed information was given when answers are displayed it would be great and I think that people would be very willing to spend money in order to get this type of feedback.  I think it would also be great if, as a user, you could select what type of person you would like to answer your question – female members between the ages of 18 and 25 as an example.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I think that this is a really great idea which has huge potential.  I think that once more explanation is given to users and they can really see the benefits of using your site and spending their money with you then it will be great!

  4. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
Initial impression. It looks like a poll site. I think you could make the homepage “white space” behind the poll questions a different color. That would make the poll question boxes really stand out.

I am not immediately drawn to an action because my eyes do not know where to start looking? Do you have a plan of what order you want the eyes to see? 1. logo 2. First question… etc.

One problem is that your lead in Tagline or Purpose statement is almost the same color blue as the “Active Question” border above the Poll questions. My eyes naturally go to the active questions second on the page, yet there is a lot going on and fighting for my eyes attention.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?

Sort of. I mean it is clear you are a polling website, but with everything going on, on the homepage, my eyes don’t know what to looking at first, second, third. Confusion is not your friend when it comes to websites and branding.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
Done. Easy and straightforward to do. However, the sign up asked me what country I am from, yet the options were only continents. I doubt anyone in Antarctica will be visiting your website.

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?

    Yes. Easy to understand.

    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
Adding pictures to your poll questions would enhance the user experience.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?

    Google adsense ads.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
The problem is can you convince your target audience that they will get results from your site. How can you prove that you have enough web traffic from the right demographics to get results? It sounds like you are competing with the other survey/branding/marketing sites that have surveys that pick from the right demographic.

Don’t see how you can compete with that.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I didn’t see one picture or graphic on your site. I think adding pictures would make your brand look more premium. As is, it looks like you have a basic website from template, that still needs personality.

    (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

My initial impression of the sight is that I thinks its a COOL and the sight was very easy to navigate through and go through the signup process.  I was immediately drawn to click on any of the buttons because of the large appearence and shapes of the font sizes from the question and answer forms.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?

Yes, It is immediately clear of what the sight is about, the title “Your Insighters” makes it clear that you can give and or submit your own opinions and create your own questions for answer responses.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?

I think the experience was pretty good and yes, it was easy to submit my question with no technical difficulties what so ever.  The sight also, gives you the opportunity to respond to others questions as well.
    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?

I think the results was displayed in easy format and was very easy to read and comprehend.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?

I think one of the the ways that the sight could be enhanced is by using a different style template.

I feel that a complimentary offer for user would be a spendable “Gift” card for the most votes to a user questions and or answers.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?

The advertisemenst that I think would best served this sight would be: Memory Improvement Ads, Business Advertisements, and Commericial News Ads.

    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?

I think that the price points offer very good value for the money because it varies from $10.00 dollars and up.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

I think my ovearall view of the sight is very interesting, educational and informative.

  6.
    (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com.
What is your initial impression of what you see? My initial impression was can I trust this site? Is this a real site, or someone trying to obtain my information? The site appears to be unprofessional.
Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? No, I am not drawn to click any of the buttons.
Why or why not? The site looks unprofessional, and it does not provide comfort in it being a business site.
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does? No, It’s not clear. There needs to be an introductory paragraph explaining what the site is about before starting with the questions.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes.
What do you think of the experience? I am not comfortable providing my income, I don’t understand why that is necessary. I would have gotten off of the site immediately. Without an explanation as to why you need income information, this could through up a red flag.
Was it easy to submit your question? It was very easy to submit my question.
    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question.
What do you think of how the results are displayed? I feel as if that the results of the displayed in a well organized fashion. Is it easy to understand? The results were easy to understand, but characterizing them according to the specifications on the left hand side did not seem to work. I didn’t understand as to why the results did not change. I feel it is necessary to have a statement that there are no results present for the choices chosen. And possibly, have the choices highlighted that fit the answer showing at the present time.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? I feel the userbility is fine as is. I feel that an improvement in is needed in trusting your site, and understanding the results that are shown for each choice chosen.
What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users? Eveyone likes to receive eBooks, maybe create a eBook that consist of the most asked questions on the internet, explaining why some questions are asked, or explaining how to effectively communicate ones point to others.
    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site? I believe Wiki-pedia would be a good advertisement or ask.com. Simply because both of those sites provide information on questions that someone may have, and they do so very effectively.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money? I believe if a business just had to have results for their questions quickly, then they would be willing to pay your price. However, if the individual providing the question was just curious, I do not think they will be willing to pay $10.00 for a hundred votes. I believe marketing your website to marketing businesses would be a good idea.
    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have. In my opinion, adding an  about us page before getting into the questionnaire would be a good idea. On the about us page, provide an explanation about how the website came about, the purpose of the website, and the rules and regulations for the website. Then provide a registration page. I feel that this will gain more trust for your website. The color is welcoming, but it lacks character due to the lack of pictures.  Add a few pictures, for example, someone thinking with a pencil up to their mouth, or someone with their hand on their head. Imagine how you would be if you were thinking about answering a question.

  7. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
My initial impression was that the site is like a forum talking about people ideas, getting advice and comments from others. Im not drawn to click anything on the site because i don’t really know what should i click on. The layout is confusing. I do not know what the question listed in the homepage is about. I would like to see something like a tutorial or a step by step instruction of how it works or a guideline. I would click on those page if it is available. It take me few minutes to notice the ‘learn more’ hyperlink. The layout is not attractive enough. I suggest you can display a step by step or a guideline of how it works above the listing of the question. Make it with background so that it looks more attractive. You can create a sign up for free button after the guideline to attract people immediate action.
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
Yes, but it took me some times to figure out how i actually get feedback from others. I look at the question listed then i know that it is done in voting. A clear guideline or instruction and description about your site is very important before you start to display how it works. People need to understand what it is by the description not by figuring out ourself by looking at the feature.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
The sign up process is normal and simple. After i sign up it require me to select from the combo box about my education, gender and household income. I wanted to highlight the household income, some people might not like to share their privacy about their household income, you can provide an option for not selecting the household income for people to have a choice in not selecting it. After i click update, and it display the update successful in the same page on the update account setting, it is better to link me to the ask a question page directly after the update successful. Submitting the question is easy and simple. I don’t have any issue with it.
    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
Well, i like this part, the result displayed is very detail and it is very useful and helpful for business person. From the table i can see what type of person would like or agree with the question i asked. You can provide a print button for the user to print the result out so that they can easily view it whenever they want. When they print the result out, at top of the result you can display your website name or company name for advertising and marketing. So that when other people see it they might think it is useful and use your service as well.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
For the paid question, i would like you to offer some packages. Example like, 20USD 2Question and 200votes. It may look more attractive in this way rather than seen 10USD for 1question and 100votes. Ofcourse you still list the 10USD package for the user choices. Besides this, everytime user wanted to select the paid question, they have to enter their paypal account, it is more convenience if they can save their credit card information so that they don’t have to repeating in typing their account info. Also you can provide a monthly subscription package.
    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
    – Information Technology (system software, hardware). To meet the trends of IT, new technology always need feedbacks from the users.

    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
It depends on what kind of business a person do. If the person is a designer and would like to know whether people likes the design in his/her mind, it would be a good invest on your site. Because it gets respond from many people and its fast. It depend on what kind of question the user ask. The question must be very unique and it’s help the user to get the respond that the user want.
    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I think i have mentioned most of it above. I suggest that for the homepage of your site, you can add a slideshow that display how it works or the description with relevant background. It would be more attractive in this way. The layout design is very important to make your site looks interesting and attractive. All the best to you. Good Luck.

  8. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
At first the website does not attract me and feels bland. I am not drawn to press any buttons and if not asked to review it I would probably not stay on the sight for more than 60 seconds. Lack of visuals and catchy, trendy phrase that will caught me like: Do you have a idea and no clue if it will work? Look no further. We provide you with the answers you need.” The words you use as a tag-line is too intellectual and difficult relate to. I would suggest you meet people where they are. We all have ideas, we all have a natural curiosity if it would work. Play along with the fact that you have something that we all need. Become attractive to your audience at first sight. Let all who land on your page feel intrigued and create to sense that they would loose something if they do not dig a little deeper. The color schemes you use is too many and does not work together towards a main focal point. The square in the square as a picture visually showing what your website is about gets a good message that does work. It kind of explains what your website is about. One picture can tell a thousand words and I would say it is the strongest attraction point you have. Also your front page is simple enough and feels clean and open. The word market is very big and vague. What market? Is the market I am in the market you talk about?? For your website to work I would suggest a little better description of what market the website is about. It is also always good to put credibility on the first page. It can be in the form of personal testimonies and partnerships with well known companies. If you had a couple of well known companies or magazines as partners it would surely grab my attention. Even just simple plug ins like a Facebook like button and twitter with a couple of other.
I would say if you want people to press buttons you need to prove you are a leader in your industry and that the 5000 members are not a bunch of no go minimum wage earners that has nothing else to do but give feedback. I would pay prime dollar for advice from well recognized and prominent business people. Even just one truly successful persons opinion are worth far more than the thousands. So one question that made me think twice to press any buttons is who are all your members?
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
No, out of the some 60 words you use on the first page only few pain the right picture. The others does not build on it well. The question that you have “Have you traveled to Europe in the last 6 months” give me the impression that the website could be a lot of surveys to determine how many people travel to Europe and could then be related to an airline company. That would make your website only apply to big companies that need 1000s of views and put me completely out of the picture. I suggest to post the questions on a second page and focus to get across who you are and how people can benefit when they use you. Need to give more value on the first page to your target audience It took me a good 30 seconds to read all the words and then let my mind give me a picture. Your Insighters is a good descriptive word that gives a lot to what the website is about. I would suggest you use a more simple words that is commonly used. Suggestions would be Professional Opinions to help you grow your markets” or “We help you grow through access to professional market experts.” You can make it even shorter by just saying. There is wisdom in the counsel of many. Try our market experts for the best advise.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
It was a very simple experience and very easy to sign up. Also to submit a question was quick and easy. I not quite understand who would pay $130 to ask a question to an audience that you do not know. Maybe with time and feedback a person or company would do that. I know companies are very eager to know what people think and that option would only be used by them. Suggest to make new users feel more comfortable on why they should pay to ask questions. Also in the registration form would include for a company to sign up. I think your target market is more bigger companies who has a budget for market research. They would find your website useful.
The layout of helping to get the right answer is very good and makes it very easy to use.
    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
The results are very well laid out and gives you a very good idea of who answered your questions. However I would suggest to add a section to tell you a bit more about the person who answered. If you ask a vegetarian if meat would be a good source of protein most of them would not know and give you a negative answer. Think to get the best answers you need to ask the right people who are currently involved and have a passion for the topic of the questions asked. Would also include a share button to post to facebook and other places. Even PDF, email or print from website would be good add ons.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
We all want proof. We do not want to buy a product or service because it is there, We want to buy the best product or service that gives us the most value. I suggest to proof to your audience that you are the best website to use through personal reviews and credible partners who is currently using you. Give a opportunity to all your visitors to become a partner in promoting you through affiliate commissions. Through getting people involved you will have partners and free advertising for life. add a couple of pictures and videos of who you are and how you have helped and served people. Testimonies are best, cause we can all relate to them.
    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
Products or services needed by he people who ask the questions on your sight. If it is mainly companies you should focus on travel and holidays. We all want to be rewarded and as your website help people with market research it may lead to bigger profits that can be used for leisure. That is only one suggestion. I would however first try to see who is using my website and what do the spend their money on when they are online. Would stay away from small products but things that open people minds and make them want to ask more questions. After some thought I would go with travel and exotic holidays. Cause 3 of you partnered to do this website i am sure you have other products or services. Would suggest you advertise all you do and sell. This will also help your clients to know you better and want to work with you in the future. Stay away from all who is your competition.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
I do not know your 5000 market experts who is answering all the questions. Would venture to say if they are from all walks of life it would give you a general feel of what the public thinks. However all markets differ and so does cultures. One product idea or service may be viewed completely different to all people. Most companies became successful when they just stuck to the basics and pushed trough the hard times. This website may seem like the easy way out to have your questions answered and your problems solved. However I would not count on it. I rather see it as a tool to confirm what you already know. If the results you get from majority of people are different to hat you anticipated you should look deeper but not let that stop you for going forward. Every one said Mcdonalds would never work in China. They proved the crowed wrong by staying with their game plan. So to answer your question i would say it depends on who is using your website. If it is a company who have a big budget for market research it would be very good value since it is very time consuming and expensive to do surveys, but if if is the small business owner who wants to know if he should invest in a new product range it would be a shot in the dark and good money wasted.
    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
yourinsighters is a good start for a website. It needs lots of work and offer very little proof if people would get value for what they will be paying for. I would say its success in the market place would depend on who they partner with and by the reviews they receive from the feedback provided. Would also suggest with time to give the person or company a option to ask a question to a certain market in a certain country to a certain culture group. This will give the feedback to the questions much more value. Would also invest in more credible ways for people to spend money on my site by using paypal as an option. The branding of the website also need to be worked on since it gives you a first feel that anyone could design the site and that the people who put it on the web did not want to spend a lot of money for a more professional look, but rather stay as simple as possible. Would position the site a market research tool and only target large companies. Later it there is enough cash-flow would target a more sophisticated type of person who is looking for very specific feedback. They are usually the kind who is willing to pay good money. In a nutshell your website is too general and does not appeal to a specific niche market. It needs to get a more up-market look that has character and would appeal to the ego’s of COE’s and Directors of med to large companies. Forget about the man on the street. Most of them are broke and much rather like to ask there broke friends these type of questions 🙂 Hope you find my feedback helpful and may you find good fortune

  9. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
My first impression of the site is that it clearly had no direction.  There was no welcome messages or any sort of statement explaining what the survey was used for and why so initially I was distracted by this.  At first glance I thought I had accidentally clicked on a popup window that may have opened, when I realized that this wasn’t the case it took me awhile to adjust to the poor layout to try to get an understanding of what was going on.
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
I think I answered this question in #1.  It is not clear at all what the site is about or what it does.  Obviously there was a survey there to take but there was no explanation as to what the survey was for or what the purpose of the site was.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
It was easy to submit a question.  The layout made it easy to understand the type of responses that you could ask for to get a desired result.  When submitting the question there were several links at the bottom to upload files but it was not clear what these links were for.  Are they to upload pictures or some other type of file? What is the purpose?  This was not explained at all.
    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
Somewhat.  It is easy to figure out where to go to review the results from my question however when viewing them I feel as though there is way to much useless information there.  The surveys do not ask demographic information from the user however all of the options that could be selected are showing so its kind of confusing as to why this is there.  The results are clear however I think this would be better if the demographic information was removed.  I could not figure out how to view the results of other questions that were not mine, it only brought me to where I could answer the questions myself so I’m still lost on this.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
The best thing you could offer would be a more clear understanding of how your site attracts users.  Yes, they know to go here to get questions answered but that’s it.  Maybe a little snippet with the history of your company and what it strives to do would be nice, anything really other than the blank canvas that is currently there now.
    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
Business ad’s would be best.  I would make it vary depending on the question being asked.  Maybe for every question have an ad tailored to that specific question for the user to see.  For example if the question was about a smartphone as mine was, maybe there could be ads advertising different rates for cellphone services or prices for new smartphones.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
I like that there are more options available to those who pay.  So for those seeking a better understanding of the results and what they mean I feel as though the prices asked for those results are fair.  Time takes money so if the extra effort is requested then there should be some sort of compensation for that work.
    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The biggest and most important element I feel is missing is a SUBMIT button.  Typical surveys have buttons to click to submit your answer or have at least some sort of acknowledgement of your vote whereas this site has none.  When the visitor comes to the site and submits an answer for the question there is nothing to click on to ensure that your vote was counted and there is no confirmation that is received to let the user know everything went through okay.  This alone is enough to make someone like me think the site is not functioning properly which will keep me from returning.

  10. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
My initial thought of this site that it looks pretty boring but it’s seems like a great idea for a sight. I don’t see a color scheme going on with this site. At the top of the page you have, more or less black and orange and then at the bottom you have the bright color of pink and blue. The black and orange has such a dynamic look making your website seem like I’m really going to get some professional advice from qualified people. I dont mean to be rude but the bottom half of the site give me the feel of a childrens baby website. I’m not to keen on the layout of the homepage, it jumps right into question that no one knows where they came from.

This might be a petty detail but I see that on your page you have two underlined number ones on your page. What does that mean? It looks sort of weird.

It would have been nice to see some of the about us information on the homepage. A process recap would have be nice because you give no direct guidance as to what you do when you come into the site. As a result I am not to eager to click on anything. I like that “sample” questions are asked because it gives the user a taste as to what will come but in saying that you should be choosy as to which ones you put on your homepage. From looking at the homepage I can’t tell if I should sign up to ask a question. If there are any fees tied to posting or getting feedback or if people will get some type of compensation for answering.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
I like that you have what your site does right at the top of the page. I see that you two different sentences for what your site does. The first being “Get market ideas from our 5,00 members and Helping determine if your idea, change or decision is worth pursuing.” The first one is more precise and sound professional while the later sounds more like an incomplete thought with a lack luster feel. Again even though your site simply puts what it does it would be nice to see a longer explanation and a simplifed one. For example your tagline is great and straight to the point but it would be nice to a 2 to 3 liner with a more indepth answer as to what your site does for the person asking and the one answering.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
I liked the little pop up box but again the colors are one that I don’t believe fit your site. I would like to have seen a text box stating that my account has been created and that an email would be on teh way. I like that you put my password and email in the message that was sent. Wtih so many passwords it’s nice to see that I can acess it from my email just in case I can’t remember it. I would like to know why is there so much personal information asked me like age, gender and household income. Does that in anyway hinder me from using the site? If it is for demographics or something of the like then that should be stated.

As I stated earlier I wondered If there was any fees tied to this site and I see that they are. I don’t see anyways I which your site collects money and what forms of payment that you take. I feel like so far it’s been alot of guess work on your site instead of being guided step by step.

I also see that you have votes. It would have been nice to see that aspect of your site on your homepage. I like that you have give users the abililty to have options in how they receive and answer from your users.

Step 1 was quite simple with me just typing in a question.
Step 2 give a me a little more doubts being this is where money comes into play. As I stated above you make no mention of this on the homepage and it make me feel like your site has something to hide and it gives people the impression that they can ask anything a get full response from your members. I also see that you have a such quick turn around times and in which feedback is given and that makes me wonder about the quality of the answers being given. What if the members dont’ cast enough votes then what happens?
Step 3 is again straight forward.
Step 4, I saw that I could upload info but again another vague area. What could be uploaded? Are there limitations? I like that I could edit the question after the final step. I also see that my question went straight to the homepage but what happen when the questions keep coming in? How will my question be answered? Would the text get smaller and the questions fill the homepage?

All in all the process was simple and easy but I’m a still a little hesitant about the paid questions. I also wonder how are the result sent to me? Can I see who voted before my time is up?

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
I don’t understand the setup of the completed question section. It is just a list of questions and it doesn’t show the results of what the votes were. I personally would not be to interested in the question of others but just those that I have asked. As I stated before the layout doesn’t lend itself to ease of use, it’s just a long list of questions. It would be nice to see broken down my topic.

I attempted to see the voting process by voting on my own question and it took the longest time to see what the results were. It would be nice to see a tally votes showing how many votes are needed until it reaches it’s set numbers.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
I really don’t see what benefit I would get a voter on your site. A guide would be really good to explain what your sties does, how it works and what one is expecting out of this site as  person posting a question. It might be nice to see a little tidbit of the question in sections instead of the full question when it comes to the completed list. I think over all the list need be more compact and catergorized.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
I would stick to ads that were relevant to the questions being asked instead of your radom ad. I would also not like to the ad in a over dominatiing position of your site and not see to many of see all over the page.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
I like that there are several option to choose from when it comes to how your question is going to be asnwered but I would be upfront with the fact that your site charges at all. I don’t like when sites pull the price sheet after I’m all excited and I see I might not be able to get as much as I thought I could have from a site like this. I would also like to an answer where people are allow to typed in an answer. I feel like if I go for the ultimate package I want to see more than just a clicked answer box.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
I would have a slight concern when it comes to who answers my questions as far as the demographics are concerned. It would be nice to see an area where I could answer question based on different demographic such as region, age an etc. A user might not want to wade through a list of questions that they are not to interested in. I would just want to see this site more user friendly and for you not to use your homepage the place where the question are filtered to. Your homepage should set me up for wanting to click on tabs becasue I would have a clear understanding of who you are and what you want me to do as a user. I think that you need to stress what is the benefit of using your site as a voter. I saw no where on your site where voters are given any compensation or recogntion. Give a prize to the top 3 voters of the month or week or something of the like to increase more voting. Your site needs desparalty to have a fluid color scheme and  concise layout. We are into 2012 and people want to be visually wowed when they enter a site and your site does’t live up to the professional aspect of what your offering. I also worry about the question being asked on your site. I posted a question that doesn’t fit the mode of inovation in the slightest and I wonder will that  effect users who want reall feedback on purposeful relevant ideas when they see questions like the one I posted. I also don’t understand what happens to page one a user has voted. I answered a question and it seems to do nothing. It would be nice to have to some type of system where if you want to vote on the paid question you have to log in but not on the free ones. Once logged in all of the question that a user voted on would disappear and new ones would replace those instead the voters scrolling throught tons of pages. If you are going to offer incentives to user highlight a voter tally for each person and a voter tally on the homepage making it competitive.

  11. Using Mac OS 10.7.2 with Safari
    Feedback sought:

    (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

The site looks amateurish and incomplete. There is nothing that attracts my eyes. In fact, if not ‘testing’ the site, I would have left right away. The colours are harsh (too bright, the red text is ugly, too much free space and too spread out).

I am drawn to the questions right away (mostly because of the colour schemes, they are hard not to notice, but they are noticed for the wrong reason), and it actually took me a while–after looking at all the survey questions, to really notice the banner and header on top!
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?

No. The immediate problem is that the questions that I was immediately greeted with have absolutely nothing with the stated purpose of ‘determining if your idea, design change or decision is worth pursuing’ (meaning, what does Michelle Obama’s capacity as First Lady have to do with worth while ideas or decisions? It seems more of a Yahoo! Answers question for people who have too much time and no lives). This conflict between your mission statement and current content needs to be fixed.

This creates a problem inherent with ‘immediate post’ sites: the seriousness and validity of the questions being asked and how they relate to the site’s goals and services may leave much to be desired.  You may need to monitor the questions.

There is no ‘focus’ with the questions… they seem to be displayed in a newest question down display. This also detracts from the site.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
Sign up and posting a question was fairly easy. I do have concerns about the paid service options: am I guaranteed to receive the 100 votes in 12 hours or 1000 votes in 24 hours or 3000 votes in 48 hours? If my 12 hours run out and I only have 1 vote… if it worth it?

There were some issues in creating a question. If I click in the question box, not write anything, and try to switch tabs or leave (not close) my web browser, a warning box pops up telling me to please enter my question, and it keeps popping up continuously every time I close it. I had to force quit my web browser. I did the same thing again just to see if it would do it, and it did.

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?

Answered a few survey questions… did not know if I was actually answering them because there was no ‘submit’ button or anything to indicate that the question had been answered (i.e.: the answer boxes disappearing, etc) with the exception that I cannot change the answer I provided. This means if I accidentally clicked on the wrong box, I cannot change it (thus giving false feed back), and I am left wondering if my answer is submitted. Fix this…

Reviewing the questions, it seems that there is a lot of unused demographics information there. I am not told if the votes are by female or male, Europeans, Asians, etc, or by income or education. As such, the results do not give me any demographical information, but simply a yes/no/maybe so result. Is this something that you are going to change in the future as you develop the site.

Also brings up demographic targeting when submitting a question: if I want to target a certain group, how can I do so with my question?
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?

You have very little that states your sites goals or aims clearly beyond ‘ideas/design worth pursuing’, which doesn’t explain much. While your ‘About’ section gives a neat little explanation, it doesn’t flush out any how-we-deliever-it. This is especially so in regards to the demographics related materials (which doesn’t really materialize or provide useful feedback at the moment anyways).

You need a landing page that introduces your site instead of going directly to the surveys. This will give new visitors and potential clients time to read what your site is about instead of being confronted with questions.

At the moment, with the randomness of the questions that greet a first time visitor, it seems the site is more related to a Yahoo! Answers style page than a more serious survey facilitator service. More monitoring is needed, or something that divides the questions from trivial to serious.

The lay out and colour scheme of the site looks unattractive and unprofessional, which makes it difficult to take the site seriously. Examine other survey sites (and even Startuplift) to find formatting ideas that will make the site more attractive and more user inviting. Current lay-out, after 2 minutes, made me want to leave.
    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
Survey related sites (Hits4Pay, etc). While these may not give you a direct ‘income’ for each click, they may be attractive to people who do surveys and will generate a revenue for people who sign up through your link.

At the moment, unless you make some changes to your site, it is hard to see who would pay to have their adverts posted on the site (I know, harsh, but harsh truth is better than any lie.)
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?

I noted above my concerns regarding how much time the survey is presented, and that there is no guarantee that I will receive 100 or 1000 or 3000 votes in that time period. You state that it is from ‘your members’ which makes me wonder if your members are people like us (who signed up), or if it random people, or if you do have 3000 different people who will daily hope on board and do surveys for you. In that regards, I do not think the price points are a good value, in that I may only receive 1 vote in a 12 hour period. If I was offered a guaranteed 100 or 1000 or 3000 votes to my survey without a time limit, I would be fine with that.

You do make the claim that you have 5000 members. This brings up the question: who are these members, and what is their motivation for doing the surveys? Unless you have a members list you can partly disclose, this claim must be taken with a grain or two of salt.
    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

As already noted: The site is not very attractive… you need a make-over.
Submit button for answering/voting on a question.

Demographics: both in regards to them not showing up as part of the survey results, but also in not being able to target specific demographic/geographic groups with a survey question. If I am in North America targeting a North American audience, why would I want half my answers coming from an Asian or European audience?

In regards to the time issue: If I am targeting a North American market, want to do a 12 hour survey, but post it late in the evening North American time, most of the people I want to have surveyed are sleeping. You need a scheduling option: i.e.: start survey in ‘6’ hours or start survey at ‘9AM EST’ with a 48 hour time window, with the ability for the user to edit the question up until that time frame.
    ——
You have some grammar errors in your ‘About Us’ and ‘Terms of Service’ (example: “We’ve discovered a diverse and decentralized crowd is often better….” should be “We’ve discovered that a diverse…”). I’m not going to read the terms of service again to find the few in there…

    —–

Overall, your site needs a fair bit of work. While I understand that currently it is still in the development phase (hence why you are asking for feedback here), in its current state it is something that cannot really be taken seriously. Much of the problem is related to the questions currently posted do not give confidence to a serious business or individual seeking input on important questions that their questions will be answered effectively.

hoepfully, the input above (by everyone here) will help in you developing the site!

    Best of Luck!

note: edited a few minutes after originally posting– flushed out my comments concerning needing a landing page.

  12. Note: The ‘Please Submit Answer’ pop-up window also happens with FireFox, but does not repeatedly pop-up every time you try to close it. I am curious if this is just a Safari issue with the pop-up Window or if it is an issue on any other system and web browser?

  13. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?

My initial impression is that I know this is a survey informational site. Yes, I wanted to click on the answers below and submit my answers immediately after viewing the questions.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?

Yes, I think you did a good job of showing what the site is about, I knew right away this was a site for gathering insightful poll information on questions asked.

    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?

Overall I thought the registration and question set up process was very simple, everything was very direct. The question submission process was very easy…I was done in no time!

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?

I think that the results should have had more of a demographic breakdown of votes, instead of just the number of yes’s, no’s, agree, or disagrees, etc. I was really looking forward to more of a demographic breakdown of answers, because of the list on the left hand side of results page. That made the page a little confusing, not knowing why that information was listed but being used. Other than that being case I could clearly understand how many people voted yes, no, etc. Also when viewing my question results, I was confused about how to navigate to another question after viewing my results, so I clicked on close question thinking that it would navigate me to either the completed questions or active questions page, however it did not, instead I ended closing out my question, which I did not want to happen since I only had one vote.

    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?

I think you should consider a tutorial on how the site works, this would be very helpful with viewing questions, results, and navigating through the website for a more pleasant experience overall. Also maybe you could elaborate more on the actual steps needed to submit a question on your “Learn More” page. If I were to read that section first I would have been confused as to what you were referring to under the “How to create a question” section. Lastly, maybe you should think about renaming the “Learn More” page to “Learn More Q&A”, this would make it easier for people to know right away to go to that page if they questions, about how to use your site.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?

Any advertisements, such as Patient Services, Investment Groups, and Business related content, Health, and Electronics, etc.

    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?

I think the $60 and the $130; price points do, because you are including a great feature the “Results Insight,” which I would think would be very useful for the client to know.

    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.

Overall I really like the simplicity of the site, great concept.

  14. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see?
The questions display is ugly, there’s too much space for too little information.

Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
The header looks good, but it doesn’t make sense to have a “View my questions” button for someone that just landed the site. I would also like to learn more about how the site works  before registering and submitting a question.
    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
To an extent, yes, but it would be great to have more info about the site. After checking one question page it’s clear that the objective is to gather data and let the client be able to see it with different forms of filtering.
    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
It wasn’t hard, but I think the user interface can be improved greatly, having a window alert when you leave the question field that stops you from trying out the other options before you write a question is quite annoying.
    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
No,  a regular user would take a bit of time to figure out how to use it and wouldn’t feel comfortable about it. I think a better approach would be to show at first a simplified overview with options to filter it and maybe show specific graphic charts.
    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users?
The user interface should be improved, the questions are listed as active questions but I couldn’t participate in any of them, I can select a radio button but that’s about it, I checked and it didn’t count as an answer, also there’s no confirmation dialog or submit button to answer the question.

Adding incentive to the voters may be a good idea as well, even if just by the means of meaningless points or levels, you need to have a way to control the quality of your voters for  your service to be worth anything.

What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
    – Graphic charts
    – Let them make their own custom answer options.
    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
    consulting companies, I guess.
    (7) Do you believe our price points offer good value for money?
From what I can see now, no, the interface is poor, I can’t see nowhere near the 5k announced users
    (8) Please share any additional feedback/comments you may have.
The idea is simple and good, but needs to be presented in a better way, main points are:
    – Improve the user interface overall
    – Make it interesting for users to participate in the polls

  15. (1) Please visit https://yourinsighters.com. What is your initial impression of what you see? Are you immediately drawn to click any of the buttons? Why or why not?
My initial impression of this website was that I thought the page was very clean looking and the colors scheme was nice. At first, I did not know what the website was about so I surfed through the site to find out. I clicked on the submit a question button.

    (2) Is it immediately clear what our site is about and what the site does?
It is not immediately clear what the site is all about, I had to surf through the site to really find out what the site is all about.

    (3) Register as a new user and complete your profile. Submit a FREE question or a paid question if you would like the additional votes. What do you think of the experience? Was it easy to submit your question?
When I registered as a new user the process was pretty simple. It was easy to submit the question I had no problems with that.

    (4) Review some of the results from other questions or from your question. What do you think of how the results are displayed? Is it easy to understand?
I tried to review some other questions but the page told me there were no questions available. But it is easy to understand other than that.

    (5) What other ways could we enhance the site and improve the experience for our users? What seems like a complementary offering/service we could offer our users?
You could make it easier to see questions and explain the website a little more on the homepage. You could have weekly newsletters or have a refer a friend program.

    (6) What advertisements do you think would be best served on this site?
I would definetely avoid annoying advertisement on the site. It would be nice to have local business as advertisements or sites that help our environment or society
